I brought home my new laptop last night with Vista Basic installed on it. The very first thing I did was to install Firefox, and I didn't have a single problem with the initial load. I got to one page that wanted me to load the Flash player plug-in, so I permitted it. That's when things went bad.įirst, I received a note saying that the installation of the plug-in was not completed. I uninstalled thinking that something must have just been gummed up, but when I tried to reinstall, I received the "\r \n \r \nxpicleanup.exe \r \n \r \n" error message. I came here and found the advice about canceling the xpicleanup.exe process, and it worked.
